Tossed it in the garbage!   Message List

Ok,  That batch is in the garbage!!
To much caster oil in that one. My main recipe uses caster oil at 20% of total oils.  33% is way to much in the stink department.   As you can tell. I'm very sensitive to smells.

Well anyway, that's my shop talk for today.  What's everyone doing today in their laboratories?

Subject: [UMSGMembersList] Chocolate chips in lip balm?

Hi gang,
I just made my 6 yr old some lip balm with chocolate chips in it.  Does anyone know the shelf life of these delicious snacks?  I have never used any type of food in my creations:)  Too yummy, I'd probably eat all my products.

I used:
1 oz cocoa butter
1 oz bees wax
2 oz caster oil
16 grams nestle semi sweet chocolate chunks
2 drops of peppermint EO (without her knowledge) She Hates peppermint

It tastes good and leaves a subtle color to my pale colored lips.

Thanks for your comments in advance,
Kim Johnson-Harding
