I use the mica for coloring the soap.  Having not mixed the color with the FO I can only guess that it is easier to do that and they both go into the melted soap at the same time.  No reason you can't do that.

Oops! I missed the question on the earlier post Paul. If you are talking about CP or HP soap you can add both the color and fragrance to your melted oils... 		Ilene

I appreciate this info as well. My micas don't clump but the oxides are a pain to get the lumps out of. Well duh...you'd think I would have figured that out...
