Having problems with message search?
Hi Paul,
I am fairly new to M&P and I have been adding my color, (liquid, micas & oxides), after I melt the base. I can't advice you on adding color before melting.
I can answer about the FO; I think adding it afterward allows you to cool the soap a bit, if needed, because you wouldn'r want to add the FO at a temperature higher than it's flash point. I melt my base in the microwave using the low power option but sometimes the soap is preety warm when I first take it out.

Yep. M&P. Mix before adding to base? We didn't do it that way the first
two times and everything seemed to work out well. I happened to see the
advice to mix the colorant and FO b-4 putting them in the melted base.
Why's that?
