just tried mine tonight - I think I may have been wrong about the 1/3 second color part - my second attempt I just did half and half. I think the soy blend/type makes a difference too - I couldn't get mine as "slushy" as the demonstrator did without turning solid. I also wasn't using strongly contrasting colors, so my variation is very subtle. But I do like the way they turned out and it was fun! Good luck and let us know how it goes! :-), angie
