Well, I have done some very nice swirls and have one, very recently, not so nice. I think I can win the ugly soap contest! When swirling, I always mix my oxides in with oil, or water ( if water based), then mix in with a little of the soap to get a smooth even color. For one of my better swirls, I actually mixed the fragrance into each color separately.

First, do I mix up my batch and add scent at trace before color? What if my trace give me less than 2 minutes to pour? Will my oxides mix into soap mix or do I need to mix color with some oil first??Please help, I don't want to rip out all of my hairKim
