This group is for midwives (and other birth professionals) who choose unassisted homebirth and are passionate about empowering women to trust their bodies and their instincts in labor. It is also for the aspiring midwife to address issues such as feeling conflict between the calling to be "with woman" and the understanding that a birthing woman requires no professional assistance.

Also, midwives who are honestly interested in learning more about unhindered birth are welcome!

This is not a forum for debate of "UC versus midwifery" - discussions of that nature occur in other groups regularly. If you are joining with *no other motive* than to convince others that unassisted births are unsafe, or that attending births is unconscionable, then this is not the place for you and you will be removed. This is a place for support, encouragement, and earnest discussion of ideas.
