So I will do it again.
Hi my name is Mary. I am 35 years old and I am type 2 diognosed
March 2000. I spent the first several years denying there was
anything wrong with me. Then spent the next couple of years not
caring. It was not till about a year ago that I actually started to
take my diabetes serious. But not till my eyes started to go and I
started experiencing neuropothy in my feet. I tokk it dead serious
when my highest BG reading was 474 and my doctor shrugged it off.
Found a new doctor and then started on the difficult road of taking
control of my diabetes instead of it taking control of me. I am now
sitting at BGs of 90 to 125 6 months after taking control back. I am
still not where I need or want to be but it is a start. I am
overweight and also suffer from high blood pressure, asthma and a
back injury that prevents me from doing any kind of exercise. I am
currently awaiting back surgery. So I find that it is a little
difficult keeping my BGs controlled without exercise.
Looking forword to getting ot know people and learning and sharing
my experiences with others.
