Hi Carole. Thanks for the welcome. Well, I was just diagnosed last week but I
had a feeling for awhile I was diabetic. I guess I didnt want to hear it you
know? I remember about three years ago taking my sugar while visiting my mom who
is diabetic and getting a reading of 265 and not thinking much about it. Then
about a year ago one of my little toes went numb and I thought wow I sure hope I
dont have what my mom has. She has severe neuropathy and is in a wheelchair. So,
is it possible to have had it for quite awhile and not known? I started getting
the symptoms a few months ago and I knew I better go to my doctor. I havent
started on meds yet. I am overweight. I am trying to eat more fruits and
vegetables and trying to limit the carbs like you said. But its hard for someone
whos lived on sweets all my life! Do you take pills for yours? My sugar runs
after breakfast about 170, before dinner its only about 110 and after I eat in
the evening around 220. Its all new to me except my daughter has had it for 4
years. Thanks for being there for support. I really need that now. Linda
