Re: T2. D.N.512 Meters.   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #2520 of 4166 |
Hi Judy,
Welcome to the list.

The meter I bought last year and still use is the
Glucotrend 2.

I believe it now has a slightly newer name and
different styling, but it uses the Accu-Chek 'Active'
Strips and these take a mere 15 SECONDS to give you a
reading.

If you are getting a new meter through the insurance
plan, you might just as well go for the one that gives
you the quickest reading of all.
I remember reading in the digest last year that there
are some meters and strips that do give 8 Second
readings - but I find that 15 is quick enough for me.

I suggest that you ask in your local pharmacy for the
relative merits of each type of meter you have been
offered by the Company plan so that you then know
which one to have.

I send you my best wishes,
Cynthia.

Most US suppliers will ship to Canada for an additional fee. Not sure about the customs rule though. Probably ask for shipment by mail not a courrier service...
