Welcome to the Truckee Meadows chapter of BirthNetwork National!

We are an education and advocacy group in the Reno area who is seeking to make an impact on the nature of birth in our community. We believe in the Mother Friendly Childbirth Initiative which aims to greatly minimize the standard use of interventions unless medically necessary. We also believe that transparency in maternity care is an important step to educating the public about the true state of our maternal health system.

Once a month, we hold meetings for education and advocacy that feature informative discussion panels or film screenings and other events.
