Re: Launching MeBO Research

Hi Sharon,

Thanks for you condolences. We buried my brother-in-law today next to my
sister. I am still not feeling well and have doctor appointments now for the
rest of the week. I hope to be feeling better soon.

Sorry we got cut off on Sunday during the conference call, as I was driving to
the grocery store and my phone battery died. I am sorry I didn't get to tell
everyone about MeBO on the call as much as I would have liked to. Nonetheless,
I'm glad to have had the opportunity to explain below. MeBO is still in its
infancy stages, and much more work needs to be done.

Nonetheless, since I am a firm believer that a support forum like Yahoo should
continue to be a place where people receive support from each other, I do not
feel comfortable disrupting this process with an overload of information about
funds for research. Support forums as well as fund raising campaigns serve a
very important function for our community, but they should function
independently with links to each other for support. This is my opinion, as I
had mentioned to you before in my email to you, and plan to do everything in my
power to allow each to thrive on its own course.

I think it's a very nice gesture on your part to set up a monthly calendar
reminder with links to each fund's respective site so as not to disrupt the
normal flow of the forum's function. I am most appreciative of you allowing me
to do a write up description and link to add to the files section. It is more
than fair on your part. I will do so once I regain my strength, thank you.

Sharon, I want to say that I, along with everyone else in this community,
appreciate very much all that you do for us from the management of this site to
your endless source of knowledge of the latest developments in body odor
conditions. Thank you so much for having made this site as vibrant as it is.

María

September, where I discussed it with Arun and others in the meet-up, and have
been discussing it in my blog these past 10 months. That's why I ended up
registering it in England with the help of some of the people there. It was
just an idea in my mind then. My idea was actually to create a charity to then
be able to pursue large grants from private foundations, since it appeared at
the time that government foundations anywhere in the globe were not getting
involved at all.

non-profit, limited by guarantee company, as opposed to a full charity as I
originally intended. With a charity status, much more can be accomplished in
terms of tax breaks for donators and for mebo, but we'll take it one step at a
time.

cure for TMAU and for all other causes of systemic BO. We may have multiple
fronts in various battles as we are all fighting the same war. It is much
better to have many fronts to increase our chances for success – and success
would be to find a cure! Yes, we can support each other's campaign in strategic
moments to get results, and that's what counts, results.

now an international effort – as it should be!

finally doing something practical to get this rotten condition fixed. Thanks
heaps for the link to our site. I will have an important announcment to make re
fundraising at the ATF site in the next few weeks as well as another newsletter
when (oh, if only there were more hours in the day) I can scrape together 2
consecutive hours to put it together.
