A community to support people with trichotillomania (compulsive hair pulling). We aim to discuss, help and mutually support each other in our efforts to understand and control this impulse control disorder. We are a group of lay people who have lived with this difficult condition for some time.

Anyone who has trich or has a relative or friend with trich is welcome to join. We aim to include all opinions and age groups and talk on issues mainly related to trich but also sharing some of our other lives.

Please treat each other with respect even if you do not agree with their opinions.

Assume the best, it is hard to communicate by written word, there are no facial expressions or vocal inflections.

If you feel offended by someone, please consider them innocent until proven guilty and ask politely for clarification of what they meant.

Be careful with biting humor, it goes over well with people you are familiar with, new people often times don't understand the personalities involved.

Please take rapid fire short messages to chat or condense multiple replies in one e-mail.

Forwarded messages, spam, and attachments are not allowed. Any questionable posts will be deleted and the author banned from the group. All research requests must be sent to the group owner and ok'd by the group members before gathering any information.
