Okay...

This isn't a problem or a setback. It is progress!!! Hooray.
Thought I'd share it with you all.


Usually my thinking is completely linear. I plan to do something one way, and
keep trying, and if that idea doesn't work it is very hard for me to think in a
different direction.

I had boiled eggs for coloring and I wanted them to hurry up and cool. They were
still hot and I was trying to figure out how to cool them quickly. I wanted to
put cold water on them, but was afraid it would crack the shells. I asked my
hubby what he thought and he said that he'd put luke warm water on them and then
cooler water. I tried to understand, but at the time I couldnt figure out how to
do this.

Then out of nowhere I thought of a completly different solution. I put the eggs
in the refrigerator.

I ran into the livingroom to tell my family how I had managed to change
direction in my thinking.

My husband and daughter just nodded and gave me one of those "that's nice"
things. They don't get it. It was a big deal!!

Putting the eggs in the frige to cool seems obvious, but for me, if I am
approaching a problem from one direction (in this case, using cold water to cool
them)it is almost impossible to change the direction of my thinking.

I IS SO PROUD OF LITTLE OLE ME!
