I had my tbi 22 years ago. I am enjoying reading posts in forums, and
learning from posts, but I am frustrated with forums in general. Forums
seem to be best at helping survivors make contact with other survivors,
helping survivors get information from reading posts, and helping
survivors commiserate with each other about the terrible medical,
financial, psychological problems we people with brain injuries endure
every day. It's not enough for me, though. I'm trying to do political
action, nationally, and I need help. No one seems to be in the least
bit interested, except (ugh) service providers. Sometimes they will
read the cautionary tale and the call for national standards. If a few
people would at least express an interest it would help strengthen my
resolve. However, I am going to do it all by myself if I have to. There
doesn't seem to be much organized political resolve, and I can't blame
people. We all have to survive and cope as we each can. Sincerely,
sabisue (decidedly not a comedian today). www.braininjurynetwork.org
