The unbroken traditions of Torah Judaism and Traditional Chinese medicine both address the whole person, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. For that reason, many Jews are attracted to Oriental medicine and an increasing number of Oriental medical practitioners and students are of the Jewish faith. Yet, little has been written or discussed, in practice, clinically applying traditional Jewish healing methods, or addressing the parallels between these two rich traditions. It is my hope that this discussion group will fill that void, and will serve as a vehicle to stimulate research and promote a new awareness of the Jewish healing tradition both in theory and practice.
