I know you all get to finish something from beginning to end, but my life doesn't work that way :-)  I've had this e-mail in my draft folder since Saturday, trying to get it finished, and here it finally is!

Here's a link to a talk by Bonnie Bassler, molecular biologist.  She discusses how she and her team have discovered how bacteria communicate.  If you've heard Dana talk about essential oils and how they can determine whether or not a cell is a good cell or a bad one (how essential oils know what to kill and what not) you'll get some aha moments when watching this video.  She details how bacteria know who's who.  The video is 18 minutes long, but worth the watching.
