I know, I'm a couple of weeks behind, and I even have the last two week's article written (they should come out tomorrow). But, when I checked e-mail on Monday and had over 20 e-mails from people concerned about the swine flu I thought I'd better get this article out as quickly as I could.
Attached is an article on Bird Flu or the Swine Flu and how to stay healthy. It can also be found in our library at www.TracesEtc.com under weekly topics, then Pandemics.
Dana's oil call tomorrow will be on much the same topic:
Don't Live in FEAR of the next Pandemic, Virus, Bacteria!
Oil Training call Wednesday night, April 29, 6:00 pm PST/7:00 pm MST
Phone number: 605-475-6400, pin: 1035455#
Here's my head's up. I am expecting his call to say much the same as what I have written (information learned from Dana is in my article, as well as info from other sources). I would imagine that due to the fear being generated by the media that there will be a run on things that can protect people. I, personally, will not be selling any Spice for Life I currently have in stock, I have placed a new order (today) and will be filling orders from it. But, I have to take care of my family so will make sure our needs are met first. I encourage you all to place your orders in a timely fashion so that you can get what you need before there is a shortage.
Just a word of advice, I don’t say this to strike fear in your hearts, but it is just common sense. If there is a pandemic, if there are areas that are closed down, you will not be able to get mail (to order in your oils) and these things aren’t available in your local store. We have seen oil shortages in the past. It’s been two years since I’ve been able to get the quality elderberries I require to make my elderberry tincture. They have recently become available again, but I don’t know for how long. We need to look ahead. Elderberries are important to me, they are great for dealing with viruses, but they also help with overall health and my family uses them pretty much every day, the same with rosehip
tincture. A couple of years ago I was able to get some of the right kind of roses and I planted them, last year I harvested my first rosehips and let me tell you my rosehip tincture this year has been phenomenal! Last week I planted ten elderberry bushes, sure it will be a couple of years before they produce, but that’s better than no hope. I learned to make my own tinctures so that I could produce my own and wasn’t dependant upon someone else. The essential oil availability varies, I know Sandalwood and any blend with Sandalwood in it has been out of stock with Be Young for several weeks (due in this week, by the way). I don’t have enough money to have even an extra set of oils, but last year I slowly filled a 5/8 dram bottle of each Be Young essential oil. That was my goal, and I met it. I now have a 5/8 dram back
up of every Be Young essential oil (5/8 dram, is about ¼ of a 10 ml bottle, by the way). Sure, a 5/8 dram bottle won’t last long, but if I can rotate between Spice for Life, Oregano, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Peppermint and run out of all of them and still can’t get more then I can just keep using what oils I do have and I’ll make it until more are available or the quarantine is over. If you’re serious about your health, you’ll want to be prepared.
