This week's *Did you know?*
Apply Lavender, liberally, to burns as soon as possible—even 3rd degree burns
will be helped in healing. You want to use it without a carrier oil as much as
possible when dealing with a burn. A fabulous carrier to use in this case is
the Balance gel, it’s pH neutralizing affects will only improve the Lavender’s
healing power on the burn. Actually, that’s how essential oil uses were
“discovered” in the late 19th century (they had been used for centuries before).
A French chemist, Rene-Maurice Gattefosse, burned his hand badly. He thrust his
hand in a beaker he thought was filled with water, it was filled with Lavender
essential oil. His hand was immediately cooled and the healing began almost
immediately.
