I was putting the winter squash away this week and
there was a hole in my net. Three great big hubbard
squash fell out of the bottom of the net and onto my
foot. They fell from a height of about 5 feet and
each squash weighed roughly 10 pounds. Picture
dropping three bowling balls on your foot. I wasn't
happy, it hurt! So, I hobbled in the house, took some
arnica homeopath to help stop the bruising and hobbled
back out to finish putting the squash away. Later
that night I looked at my foot, mostly there were some
ghost bruises, I have one well-defined bruise at the
base of my big toe that is about the size of nickel
(it's just a basic bruise, not even colorful), but,
the foot was swollen. So, I grabbed some marjoram and
carefully applied it (I lightly rubbed it on as the
foot was tender to the touch). I applied the marjoram
again the next day, and again the next evening. Since
then I have been able to wear a shoe, walk without a
limp, been shopping, on my feet all day, etc. It's
slightly tender and you can see a teeny bit of
swelling, but that's all. I'm happy!
So, the e-mail special this week is for marjoram.
