Dear Chapter Members,

The national TSA office, as well as many of our Medical Advisory Board members,
have
been contacted several times over the last 4 months by a 'new'' TV program
called "The
Doctors." After verification of the 'flavor' and focus of the program, we have
determined
that a segment on TS will not be informative or helpful to people with TS, but
may actually
prove harmful. The producers were informed of this, but nevertheless, they are
continuing to try to find patients with TS and physicians who treat the
disorder.

The producers are seeking to feature a 'naive' family who suspect they have a
child with TS
to appear along with an expert physician who will "diagnose" the child with TS
on the air.

In instances where we have researched and ascertained that the aim of a show is
to
provide good information to the public in a non-sensational and non-exploitive
manner,
e.g. the HBO documentary, or the upcoming Hallmark Hall of Fame TV movie, we do
everything we can to cooperate. However, not in this case.

No doubt some of you - or someone you know - may be contacted… It would be
helpful
to us to know when and if this happens… If you are contacted by one of the
producers of
