Hi,
I came across your support group on the internet and thought I'd get
in touch.
I work in development for North One Television. We are a BAFTA
winning production company who specialise in intelligent, innovative
and compelling documentaries. Recently we made `Blind Young Things'
for Channel 4's flagship documentary strand, Cutting Edge. The film
explored the world of young students at The Royal National College
for the Blind and how they are learning life skills to deal with the
world around them. We have also just been commissioned to produce a
series which will mark the 60th anniversary of the NHS.
We have been asked by a broadcaster to develop a documentary about
families who have a member in the family who has been diagnosed with
Tourette Syndrome. The documentary will be part of a series about
different kinds of families that are perhaps given a hard time by the
community and families that are often misunderstood due to their
circumstances, sometimes even ridiculed and bullied.
The documentary will be a sensitive look at how difficult life can be
having to deal with a condition like Tourette Syndrome, but also look
at how much like any other family a family with Tourette sufferers
is. It will be an observational documentary where we follow the day-
to-day lives and look at some of the issues faced by these families.
A documentary which will reveal the truth about a situation rather
than following an agenda or promoting a particular angle.
For the project we are looking for families who have a Tourette
Syndrome sufferer in the family and I thought you might be able to
help me get in touch with families who would be interested in this
documentary.
Many thanks for your time.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
Silke
