So You Want to be a Facilitator? Training, Saturday, Feb 23
When starting a self-help/mutual aid or peer support group, one of the
first things that members are concerned about is "who will lead?" This
training is for those who wish to start or assist with an ongoing
group, and want some grounding in how to facilitate. The workshop will
include a definition of facilitation, establishing group guidelines,
looking
at some reasons conflict occurs and several ways of responding to it,
and examining worst case scenarios through role play. The workshop
takes place in Toronto, from 10 am to 4 pm, Sat. Feb. 23, 2008 and costs
$15 to cover handouts and a pizza lunch. Fees must be received prior to
the workshop as there are only 12 available openings. For more
information or to secure a spot, call (416) 487-4355 or email
