Rama, thank you for your interest in expanding the interests of the group and
the modalities used to work through social anxiety. Bravo.
Now, this is interesting. I thought when we had the writing therapy seminar last
year, that Rama and/or Terry decided that wasn't very useful, and no one ever
spoke of that woman or writing therapy again. (I'm sorry, I can't remember her
name, so now I've unflatteringly reduced her to the level of "that woman".) May
I ask why the distinction? Because writing therapy was half of what we did
yesterday. And I understand that it is difficult or impossible to review the
exercise in the same session as the exercise itself with the seminar leader
present.
I enjoyed the seminar. I don't want to sound cynical, because it didn't teach me
anything that I didn't already know, but that's due in part to my arts
background. It was a fine introduction. It was enriching and cathartic to see
everyone read their written passages in a circle. I only felt uneasy when our
music was supposed to agree with each other, and I didn't know who I should be
following, but that's okay and it's to be expected. I thought Samantha did a
good job. And yes, I also sympathized with Benjamin when he asked if she could
stop talking and get down to the practical side of it!
Feeling "groovy",
Sean.

Hi,
Thanks everybody who attended our Arts Therapy lecture yesterday. It
was a success.
Some of our members have expressed their interest in attending an arts
therapy course. I talked to Samantha about this and she said if there
are a minimum of applicants, she can start a class at the church where
we meet. I will bring up the matter in our next meeting, but please
feel free to email me if you are interested, so as I know
approximately how many people are interested. Remember that there is a
small fee to be paid to sign up.
Rama
