Subject: [Toronto_Social_Phobia_Support] Naturopathy and Social Anxiety
presentation by 3 doctors this Saturday 4th April
Hi,
We are having 3 Naturopathy doctors giving a presentation about Naturopathy and
Social Anxiety this Saturday 4th April.
Dr. Lorenzo Diana ND, BA Psychology, HBA Sociology
Naturopathy (also known as naturopathic medicine or natural medicine) is an
alternative medical system that focuses on natural remedies and the body's vital
ability to heal and maintain itself. Naturopathic philosophy favors a holistic
approach and minimal use of surgery and drugs. Naturopathy comprises many
different treatment modalities including acupuncture, homeopathy, lifestyle
counseling, and nutritional counseling. Dr. Diana will explore the biochemical
connection as it relates to social anxiety. He will also reveal how vitamins,
homeopathic medicine, and nutritional supplementation can correct these
underlying deficiencies.
Angela M. Tobon, R.Ac, CNP, RRPr
Angie Tobon - Reiki Master, Certified Acupuncturist & TCM Practitioner,
Certified Naturotherapy Practitioner, and Registered Reflexologist will be
discussing how social phobia can be treated with acupuncture to align and
unblock energy. Anxiety is an imbalance of energy throughout the system. Reiki
is a natural and safe technique of spiritual healing and self-improvement. Angie
will demonstrate how acupuncture and reiki will both help promote healing and
how they can be effective in relieving anxiety.
James Griffin, Certified Hypnotherapist/Motivational Coach
James Griffin - Certified Hypnotherapist/Motivational Coach, will be discussing
how the subconscious mind is the emotional source of any fear/phobia and how
hypnotherapy can be a useful tool to gain more confidence in not just social
situations, but in any situation on life. He will also be teaching a
self-hypnosis technique to all in attendance to increase confidence.
Our meeting location is at Mood Disorders Association of Ontario, 36 Eglinton
Avenue W. Suite 602. Please don't forget to bring snacks to share with other
members. To enter the building please press the handicapped entry button at the
left-side door. The door is locked on Saturdays and will only open by the
handicapped button. At the 6th floor, there are just two offices, the one at
your right when you leave the elevator is the Mood Disorders Office.
See you
Rama
