Hi Jenn,
One thing I will say about having my thyroid removed, is I don't feel
any ill effects from it's absence. I take the hormone replacement - (I
take levoxyl) and I have my levels tested twice a year. It can take up
to six months to settle on the right dose, and occasionally the doc's
will change the dose according to the results of your labs. But apart
from the initial settling down period I have been fine ever since.
Take care,
Please let me know how you get on.
Debbie
