PLEASE TELL YOUR MOM IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE IT REMOVED.
I HAVE A FRIEND WITH THYROID CANCER AND IT ONLY GETS WORSE. I WOULD RATHER
LIVE WITH A SCAR THAN TO GO THRU WHAT MY FRIEND IS GOING THRU.
I ALSO HAVE HAD THE SURGERY AND I CAN HARDLY SEE MY SCAR.IT HAS BEEN A BUMPY
ROAD FOR ME BUT ALL IS BETTER NOW. I WILL BE BLUNT AND TELL YOU WHAT MY DOCTOR
TOLD ME AND MY HUSBAND "YOU DONT PLAY AROUND
WITH THE THYROID IT WILL KILL YOU" IT CONTROLS SO MANY FUNCTIONS OF THE BODY.
ESPECIALLY THE HEART!!!!!!! I JUST LOST A VERY DEAR FRIEND WHO WAS ONLY 45 TO
HEART FAILIOR DUE TO THYROID. HE IGNORED THE SYMPTOMS AND PAID DEARLY WITH HIS
LIFE SO YOU TELL YOUR MOM TO GO AND GET IT DONE
SO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY CAN HAVE HER AROUND FOR A LONG TIME.ALOT OF PEOPLE
THINK THE THYROID IS NOT SERIOUS BUT IT IS. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND SHOW HER.I AM
SO THANKFUL I HAD A DOCTOR WHO WAS UP FRONT AND HONEST. MINE WAS SO BAD I ALMOST
DIED BECAUSE I WAS GOING TO DOCTORS WHO COULD NOT DIAGNOSE MY PROBLEM THEN
FINALLY I WENT TO AN EAR NOSE AND THROAT DOCTOR THANK GOD FOR I FOUND HER!!!!!
SO IF YOU HAVE TO,,,,,HOG TIE HER AND MAKE HER GET IT DONE WANDA
Thanks for your reply Donna. My mother is stubburn and
thinks it will all just go away by itself. We go back
for a 3rd scan in April. But at our last visit the
doctor said he wanted to schedule surgery and she
refused. Has anyone heard if this surgery (thyroid
removal) forgot what it's called ....can be done
laparoscopic ? I know the only thing stopping from
getting anything done is the scar ...but I'm afraid it
can lead to cancer ..I mentioned to her before but she
denies it.
