I had the same situation and but mine was 4 spots that
had to be removed. I am now 36 yrs old and had my
thyroid removed during the first surgery on March 29th
and a second surgery on April 14th, I was 35 yrs old
then. As far as my weight has gone, mine always goes
up and down. It all depends on how I eat. My surgeon
told me thyroid is the best to get if you are going to
get cancer because is is a slow growing cancer and is
treated easily. My thryoid does not work anymore and
because of the cancer they killed it off and now take
a synthic hormone and my evels are normal again. I go
every few months for blood work to check my levels.
