Re: [ThyroidDisease] hi everyone, I'm a new member

I am Dawn and am 35 yrs old and have 2 girls, Tori and
Emily. Tori is 9 yrs old and Emily is 5 yrs old. I
have been married to dh for 12 yrs now but have known
him for 15+ now.

I have had the surgery to remove most of my thyroid
and had 2 surgeries. The first was Mar 29th and my
second surgery was Good Friday on April 14th.

During my first surgery they found surgery and I
was/am hyperthyroidism and hashimoto syndrome.

I did not have the needle biopsy and I had my thyroid
ultrasounded prior to my first. I recently had a body
scan and it showed my thryoid is still working and
they want it killed. I see my oncologist on Thursday.

The surgery said that my thyroid probably caused our
hard time having children and it raised my pulse rate.
I was also hot al the time for about a year.

My doctors are takign the approach that they want it
taken care are now and not waiting months to do so.
Iwas told that thyroid cancer is slow moving and from
what I can find it is true.

My mom has thyroid problems also so my is family
history. My mom does not have cancer as far as I
know but my mom hates going to the so she only goes to
have her levels checked and what is necessary.

God Bless
Dawn
