Re: [ThyroidDisease] Feeling terrible today :o(

Angela,

My heart goes out to you because I understand your frustrations. I had many
years of no answers from the doctors of my many
'conditions'...allergies, sinus infections, nerves, and mainly they would say
'you are just stressed'. But persistance paid off for me until a doctor really
listened to me... you have hypothyroidism (even though my symptoms said hyper-).

I had a thyroidectomy done 2 years ago. I still have struggles because my
medicine constantly needs adjusting. When my symptoms returns...weight loss,
irritability, ibs, tremors, elevated pulse, palputations, brain fog, anemia,
etc., I usually tell my doctor's that adjustments are needed. But even then,
sometimes it's a battle because they have the run another blood test for
assurance. In the meantime, you have to deal. However, at the most recent
episode, I simply just split my dose until I saw my doctor again. My symptoms
subsided.

The problem is getting the doctors to really listen to your concerns. I pray
that you will find one because it's not easy. LOL to your health.
I found that the thyroid group is here to support you and continue to write if
you need to. They listen and try to give any advice that they believe can help.

Hello everyone

I am very new to all of this, the group and the diagnosis. My
doctor started me on Atenolol (spelling is a guess) and nothing else
till after my scan and I have seen Endo doc.

I feel terrible today. I need to vent and I also need to understand
if this is common. My neck is swollen, it hurts, my throat hurts and
I feel physically exhausted. I feel like I am on the verge of the
flu but not exactly (dont know if that makes sense) My emotions are
up and I feel extremly agitated and frustrated. My ears even hurt.

Have any of you had days like this. I have hyperthyroidism/possible
graves..with little explination of this disease. My doctor says it
explains the past three years of pain.Ok what part of the past three
years....AHHHHH

Ok I feel a bit better thanks for reading my post. :o)

Angela
