Hi Angel, I also have hyperthyroidism with the possibility of Graves. My
TSH was .006, T4 1.97 and T3 6.41. I need to schedule my full blood work up
about 10 things in all. Plus another ultrasound of my thyroid. I've had
one before, but have never had the iodine scan and can't right now because I
m pregnant. I don't seem to run into alot of people with hyper. What
symptoms do you have? Most of the ones I've had these past few years I
always attributed to something else, but found they are actual symptoms of
this. Such as hot flashes, night sweats, trembling hands at times, hair
loss, moodiness, and rapid bouts of weight loss. I am 6' tall and my
weight fluctuates from as low as 90 lbs up to about 130. I also have a very
fast heart rate and frequent palpations. The docs at this time feel the
anti-thyroid meds are too risky to the pregnancy, so I have not been on
anything yet. Was diagnosed over 2 years ago but with another pregnancy and
then breastfeeding, they didn't want me on the meds then either. So we'll
wait and see I guess. I go to a new endocrinologist in July, the last one
really ticked me off.

Hi all
I was just diagnosed yesterday with Hyperthyroidism with the possiblity
of Graves disease. My T3 total was 298 and my uptake T3 was 40 and my T4
was 2.2 and my Free T4 index was 4.1... Now what any of that means I
have no clue but doc says its high especially the T3.
I have my thyroid scan with uptake scheduled one week from day. They
told me it takes most of the day with a lot of time waiting. Yee haw
cant wait to wait. I dont know what to expect with the scan. I know most
all of you have been through the scan. Any words of wisdom would be
greatly appreciated.
I was shoked but relieved that some one finally figured out why I felt
so bad 99% of the time. I have so many questions but will hold off till
I read more hear. I look forward to getting to know you all!!
Angel
