I had a total thyroidectomy a few years ago and since then, I have
been having severe stomach problems. My former GP kept saying its IBS
and stress, but the problems have increased. I fired him because he
seemed to have gotten frustrated with my continuous visits. The last
time he expressed his frustration by saying, "well I give up, I don't
know what to tell you, I'll just refer you to a gasteroneougist". I
waited three weeks for the referral, and never received one. So much
for his interest in me. I then went to a god-send doctor who in the
just two visits is already sending me to have my stomach Xrayed and
told me basis upon her examination that it seemed like I have bowel
obstruction somewhere. But I'm scared. I have lost 10 pounds (145 to
135)and I don't and should not lose anymore. Don't know if because
I'm stressed or the disease. I heard that over-med of thyroid med can
cause my symptoms too. Could that be the case? I was prev on
Levo .125 but recently switched to Armour 3 grams. Panel, what do you
think? (I'm also have stomach tremors as soon as I lay down).
