Hi,
My thyroid was removed in 2001 due to cancer too. I also had radiation
treatment. I was told by my doctors that I will be tested for the rest
of my life and should there be any indication of thyroid regrowth, the
doctor's told me that they would never be able to tell if the new
thyroid cells were cancerous or not, so they would treat it as
cancerous anyway and I would have to go for radiation therapy again.
I hope this news is not too upsetting for you.
Take Care
