Hello Everybody,

My name is Nadine and I am a 36yo married mum of 3 from Brisbane,
Australia. 8 years ago I was told I had and underactive thyroid
Irritable Bowel Syndrome and treated with thyroxine and dietary
changes, which never seemed to help. After constant whinging at my
doctor he finally tested me for Hashimoto Autoimmune disorder and
results were postive. However I still didn't get any better. January
last year I changed my doctor and finally started getting some
results medically. I have always had an extremely high white cell
and platelette levels so the new doctor sent me to a Hematologist
with their diagnosis being " I was fat and depressed" which
supposedly causes the above problems. I was totally shattered, so I
went back to my doctor and told him to fix me or shoot me.

This is were my life started to change, not sure for the better or
worse yet. Novemember last year I was diagnosed with Coeliac
Disease and started a gluten free diet which made a lot of positive
changes to my general health. Bowel problems decreased, weight
started to drop, more energy. But then I started with dizzyness and
fainting and blood pressure dropping suddenly etc. My General
Practitioner's brother is an Endocronoligist and started seeing him
last month. After some blood tests and other tests they have found
that I also have Pernicious anemia. Now we are starting B12
Injections and awaiting other blood test results.

Sorry for the life story but just typing this has been very helpful
as it is the first time I have really shared some of what I have
endured.

Some of my interests include gardening, cooking, poetry, computers
and graphic design.

Thanks for allowing me to join this group and I hope to get to know
as many of you all as possible.

Cheers and Hugs
Nadine
