His specialty was orthopedics - she'd gone to him about a knee problem. He
noticed the protruding eyes (which are a lot worse now) and ran the blood test.
He urged her to see an endocrinologist but of course she did not. That was
sometime around 1993. She has not been to a doctor since!!!!!! She has no
regular doctor!!

As the title says, she is in denial, and about more than one thing. Nor have I
listed all the behavorial problems. Her cousin, whom she helped raise, tells me
that she cannot recognize the person who was her "second mother". I have now
been enduring this for over 10 years and at present my own life is not one I
would wish on my worst enemy.

Thanks for the reply - you are obviously familiar with the situation, and from
the other side!
