I'm soooo behind on emails, Jennifer. I appreciate your feedback on this.
I have never heard anyone describe craniosacral therapy as painful, although in the more advanced work the release of deep "energy cysts" can be momentarily painful. I know from personal experience. I do know that there is cranial work that does not originate from Upledger and is just called "cranial." Is that what you initially had done?
In my experience and training Therapeutic Touch relates more closely with Reiki than with Craniosacral work which I find the best of both worlds: East and West, mechanical and quantum.
So far the few times I've used my laser on clients it has in effect provided me a third hand. I can loosen up one tight area while I work both physically and energetically on another area. Since most of my work is done through an adjunct of Presbyterian Hospital, and I am not a physician, I can only use the laser on my home clients and myself.
In using my laser on myself I continue to be pleased with the improvement in my eyesight. I can now drive at night and can seat myself when the lights are out at the movies. Things I could not do before I got the Q-1000. Also I can watch TV without complete disorientation and can identify people from close-up shots. Before, it was too uncomfortable and unrewarding to do anything without my strong RX trifocals.
I will have my first formal training tonight.
Thank you for your responses. I am interested in your comments and find this helpful.

Thanks Harriette for your comments. I've done quite a bit of work on the cranial bones and muscles in the neck. From Scenar, I had lots of trouble on one side getting the Trapeziums muscle to spasm then release in the "Bowling Ball" technique. Even the teachers couldn't get it to go... Years ago, I had a session of painful Cranial work done, and since then I've done some Cranialsacral therapy, and used various other methods that are not so painful. Cranialsacral therapy seemed almost like Therapeutic Touch, it was so gentle. More like manipulating energy. I'd say the Laser would be capable of doing as well, if the technique was perfected.
The LazrPulsr does have a Meninges protocol that was designed to help with this type of thing; releasing cranial plates. Since muscles actually spasm bones, and magnesium depletion seems to be a large part of this equation, it seems likely that this has something to do with it.
It was interesting though about the correlation between head injuries and Diabetes, as I've NEVER heard an MD make this connection!
I'm still reading, and learning. I appreciate you thoughtfully brainstorming with me on this. It's helpful.

These are definitely interesting findings. The laser may help your head injury but I cannot imagine that it would move a jammed bone. More knowledgeable folks please correct me if I'm wrong. A more proven remedy would be craniosacral therapy in the hands of a well trained therapist. It is safe and gentle, and profound work, in conjunction with your own inner physician. My other comment it to agree with everything you said about possible ways our populace might get injury induced Diabetes Mellitus. An additional reason might be that high fructose corn syrup is in the vast majority of our processed foods, largely without our notice.God speed in your healing.Harriette.![]()
