Re: [Therapeutic-Laser_Therapy] Re: Pulsed vs Non pulsed and other questions...

Buddy,

Although I choose not to own an Erchonia laser, it is a fairly good laser, not the best, but fairly good. Your statement that it is nothing more than a laser pointer is an erroneous statement however.  Most "Better" Therapeutic lasers do consist of an actual laser diode while "most" of the laser pointers you have compared them to are simple LEDs.  This is similar to the power indicators on your stereo systems, and that is NOT at all a accurate comparison in all fairness.

LazrPulsr  is an upper end therapeutic laser which is not only programmable by owner/user in 4 separate programs at once without accessories, but has many preprogrammed frequency programs that work very well- to begin working with - with minimal learning curve- which is quite a bit more complex and more involved, not to mention efficacious than any of the laser pointers I have used in the past.  I can say that even some of the laser pointers have helped with headaches, and allergy elimination "tapping", but nothing so involved as with this unique compact laser that I'm now working with.

In all fairness, I feel that I need to set the record straight.... not to promote Erchonia, but to merely point out the error in your statement.

To further answer Steve's question, 5mw 635nm is one of the best of the cold lasers for penetration into the skin, and acupuncture points and meridians.  That's why this specification is used.

Because they are trying to justify their expensive machine, which is really nothing more than a laser pointer you can buy at radioshack for $20.

Check those laser pointers, the wavelengt is listed at 635 and at around 5 mw.  Ask Erchonia what makes their 635 nm 5 mw laser any different, other than the $7000 price tag.

Steve, Pulsed and non pulsed have completely different effects on tissue. So you can't say that one is not effective or the other is. It depends on what you...

Red lasers will not penetrate into tissue. The higher wavelength, the more penetration you will have, with around 900 nm being optimum. With lasers, there...
