The focus of The Ultimate Advocate is on those who have a child with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder but EVERYONE is welcome. If you have a question, someone here either has the answer, or can lead you to someone who has.
The Ultimate Advocate has been formed to help parents learn to navigate the Special Education "Maze" and to learn how to effectively advocate for their child(ren). Parents need to understand their Rights and Responsibilities under Special Education Laws, as well as what the Educators are required by Law to provide our children. We can help answer questions about IDEA, IEP's, Letter Writing, Complaints and much more. We are here to share information, both locally and globally, and most importantly, to support each other.
We have Military families here as well and the List-owner has an abundance of information in this area with regards to support and services.
Our group has grown to include Psychologist's with Ph.D. specializing in Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Nutritional Therapy Programs, Vaccine's-Heavy Metal Toxicity etc...,an ABA Therapist as member of our group as well as many Advocates and person's with Autistic Spectum disorders such as Asperger Syndrome.
Autism AWARENESS is the key. Early Intervention is of utmost importance. Parent's and Organizations standing up and holding Schools, Drug Manufacturer's, Local and Federal Government and Associated Agencies Accountable is crucial if there is ever to be any change.
Join to make Connections, Sharing experiences, Lend Support and Compassion, and to help provide Parents with Accurate, Comprehensive Information.
We would also like ot extend an invitation to those willing to contribute information, resources, and advocacy for adults affected by ASD/Asperger Syndrome who are often left without the same amount of support that is available to children on the Spectrum, yet are in need of such Advocacy.
