I certainly enjoyed this contest! Special thanks to Skeeter for donating our prize! We hope to have more contests in the coming months!
We have a new votelet poll. Be sure to get your vote in! Our last votelet poll concluded that you all want to know more about biotin! You will find the article, "Biotin, A Study" in the library.
We also have a new links listing. Besides our hair related links, there is now a section for non-hair related links. If you'd like to trade links with us, please let me know. Links will be posted at my discretion.
The Styling Station now has three new step by step instruction hair styles listed. Neil has also been kind enough to post some pictures of beautiful styles that show great imagination and talent from the designer. He has also reposted a style he did himself, which is very lovely. Be sure to come and take a look!
Since many of you thought about complimenting someone's hair, but just didn't do it, I've decided that I'm going to try to get up a "compliment card" on the website that you can print out. It will be a business card for the Loom that reads, "I think your hair is lovely! Long may you grow! There will also be additional information about the Loom and all the informational fun we offer. This way, if you're too shy to speak, you can just hand out a card! I hope to get this up soon. I'll keep you posted!
In closing, I'd like to share with you the words of one of our Loom-mates, Olympia. We were discussing how each person is important to the Loom, and in my words, were threads... woven together to create something beautiful. Olympia's reply was so beautiful I thought I would share it with you. She said, " The past and present are composed of the tiny little details of one's day and weave the fabric of your life. I tend to see this "fabric" as a tapestry: Here there are a few black threads of sadness, but there are the golden threads of joy! Of course, there are lots of other colors of threads woven into the fabric as well, and while I'm not particularly fond of some of the individual colors, the tapestry as a whole is really quite spectacular...and how those black threads cause the golden ones to stand out and really glisten!
If you try to pull out some of the threads that you don't like, the entire tapestry could unravel and fall apart. Better to leave them there and continue weaving, knowing that they, too, in their own small way, help support the whole...the whole that makes your own tapestry beautiful and perfectly unique, perfectly your own."

Each one of you makes the Loom the beautiful place it is! I'm so glad you've chosen to add your thread to the tapestry.
Long may you grow!
