The Long Hair Loom - August 20, 2003
Greetings! I hope this summer is going well for you!
Remember to protect your hair if you're going to be out in the hot summer sun for extended periods of time! Sun exposure can lead to dry ends and color loss. Hats, scarves, umbrellas and sunscreen, are all good and helpful ways to protect your hair from the sun.
If you're going to be spending time on the beach, apply a good amount of your favorite conditioner first, then braid or wrap into a bun. The heat from the sun will help the conditioner to penetrate better, giving you a "deep conditioning treatment" while you get to enjoy the ocean waves! Pre-conditioning your hair will also help to protect it should you get in a pool.
We have a couple of new articles in the library thanks to Loom contributor, Equestrian! Everyone on the Loom thanks you for your hard work, EQ!
Be sure to look for her articles, How Do I Oil My Hair? And Trimming & Dusting, How Often & How Much? Be sure to visit the Library to see these great articles. They are at the top of the article list! http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/246853
New articles and interviews are coming soon! Be sure to look for my interview with Jennifer Bahney of Longhairlovers! Jennifer has inspired me so much since I started my quest for longer lengths. She has some interesting information to share with us, so... stay tuned!
We also have another contest coming up.... the winners will be receiving some of Lisa Janey's satin scrunchies. An interview with LJ is also in the works! We hope to launch the contest and her interview at the same time. The contest will be open to posters on the Loom.
If you are a lurker, please feel free to join in the fun of our discussions. We'd love to get to know you better!
If you are a poster on the Loom and have not yet had your picture added to our Photograph Album, be sure to email me your photograph and I would be more than happy to add it! We've added some newly framed manes, so be sure to take a peek! The link can be found at the bottom left of our home page! http://www.geocities.com/thelonghairloom/
As always... long may you grow!
