Colorado House Bill 09-1175
THE NATUROPATHIC PRACTICE ACT
(Information and Petitions Provided by Colorado For Health
Freedom <http://co4hf.synthasite.com/> )
Read the text of the bill
<http://www.leg.state.co.us/Clics/CLICS2009A/csl.nsf/fsbillcont3/EED6C18\

Colorado House Bill 09-1175, known as the Naturopathic Practice Act,
would eliminate traditional naturopathic practitioners in
Colorado.
The definition of "traditional naturopathic practitioners" would
include by definition all natural health care providers,
herbalists, and distributors of natural health products, as well
as anyone who currently provides any form of natural health or
nutritional counseling or advise, and could also be interpreted to
include proprietors of health food stores. It would also provide a
monopoly on the practice of all forms of natural health care to
the graduates of only a select few schools. HB1175 endangers
consumer choices and health freedoms, and endangers natural health
care practitioners' right to practice their trades by creating an
exclusive monopoly on who provides natural, complementary, and
alternative therapies, information, and services.
HB1175 would make it a crime for thousands of unlicensed persons to
practice their trades and would destroy THOUSANDS of Colorado
entrepreneurial natural health based businesses, unless the
practitioners are registered naturopathic doctors mandated to
graduate from a particular group of schools. Colorado would lose
millions in personal income and State Revenue loss in sales tax
and Income tax.
As Americans who are concerned about our dwindling health freedoms, we
should all actively oppose any and all mandates that require all people
to obtain permission from the state to do a healing act.
Minnesota, California, Rhode Island, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and
Idaho all have health freedom laws that exempt unlicensed practitioners
from criminal statutes as long as they avoid specific prohibited
conduct and give out proper disclosures. THESE LAWS MAKE GOOD,
COMMON SENSE!!
COLORADO HEALTH SEEKERS DESERVE TO HAVE THEIR OPTIONS PROTECTED!!!
If you value your freedom to manage your own health care using
practitioners of your own choosing, you need to take an active
stance against any law that would restrict the health freedom of any
American living in any state! If you are not particularly concerned
about the protection of health care choices, you should still be
concerned about any legislation that would force thousands of
entrepreneurs out of business and provide monopolies to any
"elite" groups of individuals. That's not what our failing economy
needs right now!
AS GOES COLORADO, SO GO OTHER STATES SOON.

HEALTH FREEDOM versus CODEX
The Fight For Your Life <http://www.codexfund.com/> Are you worried
about CODEX?
For too long, the fear that the Codex Alimentarius Commission is going
to restrict our access to dietary supplements has been looming.
A Bill entitled, "The CODEX Guidelines Vitamins and Minerals Rejection
and Dietary Supplement International Protection Act of 2009" and will
soon be introduced in the United States Congress.
We need your support to get this bill passed.
This bill does four things:
1. Officially rejects the 2005 Guidelines on Vitamins and Mineral
Food Supplements adopted by the Codex Alimentarius Commission and bars
government officials from promoting them.
2. Requires U.S. government representatives in international forums
to energetically promote the principals of existing U.S. law (which
include the 1976 Proxmire Amendment and the 1994 Dietary Supplement
Health and Education Act of 1994).
3. Proves a technical correction to FDA's Code of Federal Regulations
(21 CFR 130.6) dealing with the review and adoption of CODEX Guidelines
by requiring Congressional mandate to modify any laws dealing with
dietary supplement regulations.
4. Requires improved transparency and accountability into the U.S.
CODEX activity by requiring transcripts to be taken and published in
their un-redacted form on the US CODEX website in a timely manner and
the submission to Congress of an annual report.
Congress has always supported the will of the people in protecting
dietary supplement access. In fact, in 1997, Congress thought they had
resolved all international harmonization issues involving dietary
supplement in Section 410 of the Food and Drug Administration
Modernization Act. However, the FDA failed to modify their Code of
Federal Regulations to include this 1997 provision. Therefore, this
legislation is needed to prove this technical correction.
We need your help!
The CODEX Alimentarius Commission was organized as a joint activity of
two United Nations Organizations (The FAO and WHO) more than 40 years
ago to promote improved food trade, i.e. that the foods shipped and sold
between countries would be clean, free of dangerous pesticides, and
properly labeled. Many feel there venture into the development of
setting guidelines for vitamins and minerals food supplements that
focused on potency rather than quality control was outside of their
mission. These guidelines do not conform to existing U.S. law and should
not be adopted. A thorough review of CODEX and the possibility of
adoption in the United States uncovered a technical correction that is
needed to insure that the United States Government by the Request of the
United States Congress officially rejects the 2005 Guidelines, and that
going forward, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will be
required to present any dietary supplement issues to the Congress for
consideration.
We need to get 100,000 signatures as soon as possible. PLEASE send this
to everybody that you know - Friends, Family, Downline - and join our
fight for YOUR HEALTH FREEDOM.

Most of us have sat by and believed our Health Freedom is somewhat
secure. This is not the case and we are in the last mile. Codex is real
and will affect all of us sooner than we can imagine. Do not delay your
actions and support until December, 2009. Your natural health business,
your freedom, AND your life depends upon it!

This petition is a groundbreaking new petition that calls for real,
revolutionary health freedom reforms in America! If its provisions are enacted,
it would:
* End FDA tyranny and oppression of natural product companies
* End the persecution of alternative medicine and healing arts practitioners
* Ban GMOs in the food supply and require honest labeling of irradiated foods
* Protect America from CODEX "harmonization"
* Allow full income tax deductions for ALL health-related expenditures (herbs,
supplements, gym memberships, etc.)
* Provide $350 a month in health care credits to each U.S. resident, allowing
them to spend it on the health-enhancing products and services of their choice
* End mandatory vaccination policies across America
* Restore honest science to the FDA's review of drugs
* Require the open publication of all drug trials
* End Big Pharma's bribery of doctors
* Hold drug company CEO's criminally liable for the harm caused by drugs they
advertise to consumers
* Restrict the advertising of junk foods and soda pop to children
* Ban man-made, non-natural chemicals in personal care products
* Invest in disease prevention and consumer education about nutrition
* Protect the environment from dangerous drugs that pollute the water supply
... and more. If you believe in these things, and you are a resident or citizen
of the USA, then please sign this petition right now at

President Obama is making a lot of noise about health care reform, most of which
will only take away what little remains of our health freedoms. So let's give
him some REAL reform options to think about!
Thanks for supporting this extremely important petition!

Carrie,
I wasn't able to find a specific testmonial about Cudweed used alone,
but I did find this one about using it in combination with other herbs:
"My name is Marcelle, I was introduced to Pure Herbs products by Jim
Grodon my ongoing Herbalist-life-saver. My medical doctors were so
sure I had an ulcer, but came up with no diagnosis after putting me
through test after test . . . Ultrasounds on my entire abdomen area,
upper G.I., full CBC blood work that showed absolutely nothing. Zip,
Zilch, I mean nada, not a thing wrong with me medically. But yet I
couldn't eat, sleep, work or even drive anymore. I finally went to see
Jim after convincing my husband to drive me, because I was sure he
would help me . . . Well he did! My body was shutting down from
depression and anxiety due to a lot of stress and trauma in my life.
Anyhow, he put me on Lady's Slipper, Cudweed, Golden Bough and
Universal ER with Aspen. Yet another prayer answered. During my
recovery I had two major tragedies happen and I had to go on Xanax and
Adavant, but miraculously I weaned myself off after just one month.
The anxiety and panic attacks that paralyzed me are subsiding and I
lost 45 to 50 pounds. Praise be to God, Jim and Pure Herbs. Thank
you!" --Marcelle, Allentown, PA

This blend was put together by Practiced Herbalist, Joan Thompson.
This is a formula for optimal mental and emotional health. Excellent
results have been achieved when used for the relief of clinical
depression, manic depression, ADD (attention deficit disorder),
fibromyalgia, phobias, and stress related problems due to long term
illness. This blend is also helpful for sleep disorders, improvement
of memory, increased alertness, and stress relief.
COMBINATION: St. John's Wort, Life Everlasting (Cudweed), Gotu Kola,
Rice Bran, Lady's Slipper, Kava Kava.
DOSE: Adults: 80 drops in a.m., 40 in afternoon and 40 at bedtime. For
Children: one drop per pound divided into three equal doses. Infants:
use a couple of drops on the soles of the feet and up and down the
spine. Results are achieved in three to six weeks so be patient. It is
important to maintain blood levels while in treatment. E.H.-T should
not be used in conjunction with any other prescription medications for
nerves or depression.

A new database has just been added to the forum website.
This database is for Natural Health Practitioners of all specialties and
of all certification levels, whether or not formal certification or
credentials are required for their practice. We are trying to provide
resources for anyone who wants to make Natural Health Care a part of
their life.
Please look at our list of Natural Health Specialties for suggestions of
who we would like to see included.
http://theherbdoc.com/ConsumerEducation/Modalities/Specialities.htm
If you are a distributor of natural herbal food supplements or equipment
(water or air purification systems, for example) or own a health food
store, we consider you a Natural Health Practitioner, and we would love
to include you in this database.
Allopathic practitioners (for example: nurse practitioners [RN, NP],
physician assistants [PA], holistic dentists [DD, DDS, DMD], and even
allopathic physicians [MD]) are also welcome as long as holistic or
natural treatments are included in their practice.
By default, we consider osteopaths (DO), chiropractors (DC), and
optometrists (OD) as Natural Health Practitioners.
All Group members can make additions to the database, and are encouraged
to do so, but only Owners and Moderators will be able to edit the entry
once it has been added.
To access the database, please click the "Database" link in the left
column of the Forum website.

Hi, all!
Just a little note regarding the low level of activity on the Group that Lynn
is talking about.
For the past 15 years, my wife and I have been operating TheHerbDoc.com and
Abundant Life Herb Shop while both of us worked other jobs as well.
I am pleased to announce that I retired from my "9 to 5" at the end
of last month, and will be working our ministry full time now (our ministry
includes our Natural Health Practice, our Natural Health website at
TheHerbDoc.com, and our Messianic Ministry its associated website at
FamilyBible.org).
Last week we migrated both TheHerbDoc.com and FamilyBible.org to a new server,
and suffered a large number of page format corruptions in the process
(nobody's fault but mine). With over 1900 static pages an additional 2000
dynamic pages on TheHerbDoc.com, it's going to take a little time
(actually, a LOT of time) to get everything cleaned up, but I will be working
on that task as diligently as possible.
I will be posting periodic (planned for monthly) newsletters to the Group
starting very soon, and that should generate some increased activity.
For those who have been members for a long time, I really appreciate your
hanging in there with us.
One really good way to generate Group activity is to post a Natural Health tip
that you know or a question that you would like to have answered.

Hi, Chanelle ... welcome to the Group!
I really haven't seen anything in the way of Natural Health employment
opportunities in West Virginia other than self-employment. About the only other
form of natural health employment in the area that I can think of right off the
top of my head would be working as a clerk in a natural food store, and that
might not be very rewarding. You might also be able to find work as an office
assistant in a chiropractic office.
The National Association of Certified Natural Health Professionals offers an
excellent training program that gives you a very rapid introduction to several
different aspects of Natural Health through their series of certification
seminars. Part of the seminar series includes some ideas for starting your own
private practice as a CNHP. You can get information from their website at
http://www.cnhp.org/
I don't know if they still do so, but Trinity College of Natural Health
(http://www.trinityschool.org/) used to provide a tuition discount to CNHP
members, and their programs are quite credible. They have several different
programs including Naturopathic Doctor, Certified Health Specialist, Nutritional
Counselor, Master Herbalist, and Master Iridologist.
All the CNHP and Trinity College programs are based in Biblical Christianity, so
I'm not sure how well that would fit in with the philosophy presented on your
website.

Hi, all!
Just a little note regarding the low level of activity on the Group that Lynn is
talking about.
For the past 15 years, my wife and I have been operating TheHerbDoc.com and
Abundant Life Herb Shop while both of us worked other jobs as well.
I am pleased to announce that I retired from my "9 to 5" at the end of last
month, and will be working our ministry full time now (our ministry includes our
Natural Health Practice, our Natural Health website at TheHerbDoc.com, and our
Messianic Ministry its associated website at FamilyBible.org).
Last week we migrated both TheHerbDoc.com and FamilyBible.org to a new server,
and suffered a large number of page format corruptions in the process (nobody's
fault but mine). With over 1900 static pages an additional 2000 dynamic pages on
TheHerbDoc.com, it's going to take a little time (actually, a LOT of time) to
get everything cleaned up, but I will be working on that task as diligently as
possible.

Hi Newbie,
You've got better luck than I do. I've been on the list for quite a few
months and no one posts. I am really disappointed as I thought some good
knowledge would be shared on this list.

I can forward your email to a friend who is into herbs and might have information for you if you want. I am living in WV but in the mountains quite far from a town. The state capital is an hour away and regular jobs are scarce here. Let me know and I will forward to my friend. She is a gal from church and trustworthy so not to fear there. We have many herbalists around here and they have various workshops throughout the year.

Hey guys!
I am a new member here who is looking for natural ways to heal myself
spiritually and physically. also looking for ideas on natural foods as
food prices are going so high. i live in an apartment so i cant grow a
garden but i can do stuff indoors. any help is greatly appreciated.
I read your email
and very happy to know that you do not have cancer. Since you are emailing the
HerbDoc I am assuming that you do believe in herbs.
If I were in your
position I would drink 12 cups of Pau d’Arco Tea every single day, and
take Vitamin E every single day.
I mention these
because I do know that this has worked for friends of mine who did have cancer.

Results
April 5, 2008
Hi,
I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that surgery
is over and that it went well. I went in for the two wires to be put
in on April 3rd, at about 8:30 am and it took until 10:30 am to get
them all in because when Morgantown did their own mammogram the
doctor found a third cluster that she wanted to biopsy so she had
three wires put in instead of just two. The wire localization did
not get too painful until the needles got down past the part that was
already numbed. Then it was like a painful pressure. I made it
through it, but it was hard.
At 11:30am I went into surgery and the next thing I remember is
waking up in recovery when the breathing tube was taken out of my
throat and then it was 3:30pm and I went to secondary recovery where
I saw my family and then back to the hotel room at 4:30pm. I left
Morgantown and got back to Parkersburg yesterday like I had planned.
Today my bandages come off and I can finally bathe. I just can't
let the incisions get wet. I am not sure if there are two incisions
or three. There were three different biopsy sites, but the doctor
was going to try to do one bigger incision for the two that were
closer and then a second one for the other one so I only had two
places to heal, but if she couldn't then she would have to do three
incisions. I will know later today when I take it off, but it looks
like there is only two by the two pieces of gauze I have taped to my
chest.
I feel okay, just tired and it hurts to use my left arm so this
letter will probably not be too long.
I will have the results in about 5 days now and they will tell me if
I have cancer or not. If it is not cancer then I will just have to
have mammograms every 3 months for about 2 years and hope nothing
else comes up that they want to biopsy. IF it is cancer then I will
have surgery in about two weeks for a masectomy of at least the left
breast. Otherwise my recheck with Dr. Hazard is the 14th of this
month. Just keep praying that it is not cancer. I am scared, but
there is nothing I can do but pray. It is all in Gods hands now.
I promise to write longer just as soon as I feel up to it. I am
sorry this is so short and that it is typed, but typing is easier
than trying to hold onto the paper and the pen. I cannot even carry
my purse on my left arm so it is painful to even use it. Please
forgive me for the short letter. I just wanted to get something out
to you so that you would know I made it through surgery. Thanks for
all the prayers. I am so blessed to know you and to have you in my
life. Write soon.
I have taken the gauze off and there are two large incisions that are
sore as heck. They are across the top of my breast and about 2
inches long each. It is really sore, but I will get better with each
day.

I wanted to go ahead and give you the results of the biopsies. I
called the doctor today and she said that the three pieces of tissue
that were removed were NOT cancerous. That is the good news. Now
for the not so good news, I do have "atypical lobular hyperplasia"
and "lobular carcinoma in situ" and they put me at very high risk for
breast cancer in the future. I will have to be followed in the High
Risk Breast Cancer Clinic at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center,
and so it looks like I will be making a move to Morgantown within the
next few months. I have to save up so that I can pay first months
rent and security all at once up there in Morgantown, but I need to
get moved up there as soon as possible to start the treatment
process. I will be offered the following treatments when I go back
for my recheck on Monday and meet with my doctor to discuss this
diagnosis. One is to take Tamoxifen and the other is masectomy of
both breasts (removal of both breasts). I will print out all I can
find on the two diagnosis and mail them to you soon, so I can send
you the full report from the doctor too.
I am lucky in the fact that it is not cancer at this time, and I will
probably be safe for a few years, but sooner or later I most likely
will have breast cancer as the markers and cells are there for it
now. I would like to go to Mayo Clinic in either Rochester, MN or
Jacksonville, FL, for a second opinion, but I just can't afford the
trip there and the cost of staying there. I will let you know more
when I find out more. Please continue to pray. Thank you for all
the prayers.
April 16, 2008
I went to the appt. on Monday and the incisions are healing very
well. I am still sore, but that should ease up little by little. I
have been officially moved from the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center
to the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center. They are at the same
hospital and only across the hall from each other. I will have more
appointments in the next few weeks. I am not sure when as they have
to coordinate it with all the doctors I will see as a team and then
call me with the appointment dates and times.
Thanks so much for all the prayers and please keep them coming.
Prayer is a wonderful and comforting thing.

Basic right of humanity is damaged: Right to healthy foods!
The Food and Pharmaceutical industry have both one item on theiragenda: Trying to imitate nature and patent the products that originatefrom that. With the Codex Alimentarius, soon high doses of naturalsupplements are forbidden, and with that, the basic condition of theMaslow pyramid: Our Right on Natural Food.
Step by step people got used to the use of artificial fertilizers withfarming while far better free alternatives are at hand with seafarming. After that followed by GMO patented seeds. Atthis moment, 80 percent of the supermarket shelfs are filled with atsome extent unnatural products, some of which the word `food' is ashame, because they don't feed you! Lots of people still have the ideathey eat a healthy mix of vegetables and fruits while they traveledthousands of miles before they land `fresh' on your plate. Grown ondepleted soil and sometimes even on rock wool! In our `cultivated'Western society it's very hard to escape the fact that we are alldeficient with vital essential nutrients.
The Food industry and Big Parma agenda doesn't know any borders. It'stime to ban natural nutritional supplements with these dangerous highdoses that `might' keep people healthy. Now that more and more peoplehave discovered this fact, the big profits might come under pressure. The new norm will be as low as two depleted carrots! This new law willrob a naturopathic doctor from his most valuable tools: Essentialnutrients. Food! Your and My health have been made subordinate tosuper profits. Politicians have sold their soul and religion and are no more thenmarionettes, dangling on the chalk lines of these multinationals withan unstoppable hunger for power and money.
Never have I caught apolitician off guard talking about the Codex Alimentarius. Add up, allthe decisions politicians made over the years and they are nowhere nearas important then what's happening now! Most people even don't have aclue what's going on. It's a shame.
Most diseases from which people suffer from are attributed to the agingprocess and science tells us that it's all in our genes. Nothing ismore beside the truth! Almost everybody in the modern civilized Westernworld is suffering from a lack of essential vital nutrients. Do wehave to illegally import nutritional supplements ourselves in about ayear or are we forced to grow our own vegetables and fruits? You andMe, we've got a powerful tool to vote with; Our Wallet! Act Now.
