Each

one of us

is a spark of God. 

We were created by Him. 

As such, He has love for each soul in

creation.  He is eager for us to turn our face

towards  Him.  He is waiting patiently for us to set

our footsteps towards His abode. Right now, we are

engrossed in the world of the senses.  We hardly give God

even a thought unless we are in trouble.  He leaves us to our own

devices. He does not force himself on us.  But He does whisper to us in

a gentle voice in the hope that we will one day return to His waiting arms.

Throughout  our life we have had moments in which we felt we were coming

closer to God.  These are peak moments in which we feel a connection with Him. 

Some of  us shed tears as we remember this love that seems so familiar, like a lost memory of our past.  Sometimes we hear a beautiful piece of music that stirs our heart-strings.  We may read an inspiring verse or passage from the scriptures that sharpens our intensity of our longing to know God.  Sometimes we hear of a noble act that stirs some higher feeling within our breast.  We may meet a person who is devoted to God and we are inspired to be like him or her.  These are His gentle reminders to us of His presence.  Each time we hear His call we have an  opportunity to return to Him.  Some of us pass these chances by and go back into the  ever-revolving merry-go-round of the

world.  Others are moved to seek out the Source of these gentle

whisperings.  It is these people who awaken to the fact that

we have a higher nature.  These are the

people who begin to ask God

for assistance

in finding

Him.
