Tammy,

Few things came up this morning during meditation you may find useful re your eyesight.

We do not see with our eyes, we see with our mind, if this were not so we wouldn't see anything in our dreams.

Therefore the Bates exercises are actually retraining our mind to see properly again and not strengthening our eyes to see better.

The Tachyon drops, among other things, keep the eyes relaxed and not in the way and interfering with this process.

What we see through our glasses is not the real world and the mistake I made was wondering why I couldn't remember things that I saw so clearly with my glasses, without them, that is why, it is because they are so so different.

Something happened to make us choose to see the world without hard edges in a softer focus. How rude and disrespectful of us to force ourselves with glasses to see it so sharply again. No wonder our sight keeps getting worse with glasses, it's trying to get back to that unfocussed state we chose for a jolly good reason!

It might help to go back and take a look at that, it might be something quite simple which looked horrific as a child but may now be quite easy to resolve.

Another thing, when you're wearing glasses you are constantly forcing yourself to see and when you take them off you must not do this, which is quite difficult initially when everything is so blurry, just let the world come to you, let it fall on you, wash over you, instead of forcing yourself out to it.

I'm going to try this too now. I've started saying whenever I have doubts -

My mind sees with perfect clarity.

And knowing when I need to wear glasses I am not seeing the real world but am simply preventing myself killing myself on the stairs will help prevent any setbacks caused by thinking I was undoing good work done on my physical eyes.

If that makes sense!

Let me know how you get on and I will do likewise.

:)

Nicola,

It makes sense. I have been trying to remember to not wear my glasses this past week and to do the exercises.  The thought that without our glasses we are seeing what we need to see resonates with where I am right now. I find myself reading a lot which diverts me from just being. Thanks for the wise words.
