A forum for mutual support and the informal exchange of information (none of which is to be construed as medical advice or opinion) amongst persons who have received any organ or tissue transplant(s) &/or dialysis patients and their carers. The list is moderated, and ordinarily members must apply to the moderator(s) to join the list. Each member is cautioned to consult with his or her own medical advisors, especially transplant specialists, before acting on any suggestions or recommendations made by contributors. The list is NOT designed to cater to Medical Practitioners, though their participation is welcomed and highly valued. All members are reminded that the majority of members are lay people who have received a tansplant or are on dialysis, and asked to consider carefully any contribution which may mislead or alarm plain spoken, ordinary people. It is also hoped that language will be suitable for presentation to all members of the families of members, including young children.
