As NCADV celebrates its 30th Anniversary, the Women of Color Caucus of NCADV (WOC) invites and strongly encourages women of color from all backgrounds to voice our concerns and share our dreams. This is our time to declare our power and our solidarity towards our leadership. Please read on.

 

NCADV Seeking Development Director

 

NCADV is currently seeking applicants for the position of Development Director. This is a full-time position that is responsible for acquiring and building all funding sources for the organization. The position reports to the Associate Director and Executive Director. Some travel is required. Job responsibilities include responding to donors, preparing annual reports, developing a comprehensive development strategy to meet annual budget goals, researching funding sources for new corporate and foundation support, working with existing partners to meet project expectations, and reviewing new submissions for partnerships to determine viability for NCADV. Demonstrated success with foundations, corporations, individual donors and direct mail campaigns required.

Young Band Brings Issue of

Domestic Violence to the Forefront

Ronnie Winters, lead singer of the overnight sensation band and NCADV supporter, THE RED JUMPSUIT APPARATUS (RJA), is no stranger to domestic violence. The kind and humble musician witnessed his mother's abuse as a child and wrote one of the band's most popular singles, Face Down, which is a song about domestic violence. Full article.

 

The Cosmetic and Reconstructive

Surgery Project of NCADV

 

The Cosmetic & Reconstructive Support (CRS) Program is the only direct service program that the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) offers to survivors.  NCADV works in partnership with three medical associations to assist survivors of domestic violence who cannot afford the cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and dentistry needed to repair the injuries they have received from a spouse or intimate partner.  Link to more information about CRS.
