Greetings!
Yesterday we once again incurred a SERIOUS plumbing problem
and due to this, cannot run any water (faucets or toilets) due to drainage
issues. Mr. Kellet and his maintenance workers have been working diligently
and proactively over the past several weeks to address the intermittent
problem, and yesterday about 4:30pm it came to critical mass. There
appears to be a serious blockage in the sewer pipe that cannot be rectified in
any way, so the pipes/etc will have to be replaced from the street throughout
the house. They began that process at 7:30am. When staff arrived
onsite, the stench of that work is intolerable- the smell of open, raw sewage
and whatever chemical and cleaning agents they are using. I have sent Brandy
home today (she will come in on Sunday to finish her work that she needed to
complete today). The office is CLOSED. There is a sign posted, and
I have spoke with Shelter Staff to ensure they are aware and know how to handle
any client walk ins or emergencies, and have notified Community Benefits Real
Estate that we are out of the office today, and will check status later.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
