Dear Ron, I would never attempt to argue with your personal experience with orthotics or with anything. I've received close to 100 sessions of Structural Integration over the last 19 years. I do 4 and 1/2 hours of ashtanga yoga each week. And I daily practice grasping and opening with my feet. And my feet still like the way they feel in these particular orthotics. I have had one client with plantar fasciitis in 18 years whose pain and dysfunction disappeared after the feet session without orthotics. I have had one that nothing I could do would help. She was sent off to the surgical podiatrist who did not do surgery but did the cortisone shots. Plantar fasciitis is frequently the forerunner to a "bone spur" which is really the calcification of the plantar ligament from irritation and constant pressure. In addition to our work, this particular orthotic seems to take some of the pressure off. Most of my clients love them, some don't. I do not force the ones who don't. They either feel good right off the get go or forget it. So, that's what I know. I gotta be true to my experience and for sure I respect yours. maybe you're doing something I haven't learned yet..Jim Dohn
