Deer bones, well I was on one of my early morning kayaking trips checking out
an island. I was amazed when came upon a deer that most have died late this
past winter.Basicly clean bones and outer skin with some fur. The pelvis was
still one whole unit held together by the pubis symphysis which was
dried, otherwise the bone was clean. The last lumbar and sacral vertebrae were
held together in this same way. No tissues remaining at other
joints, but I found it interesting to put the bones together to see the
suggestions of a joint. So now I want these beautiful slightly smelly bones
right? I did have a small plastic bag with me and bagged what I could. I have
bones mentioned above and a femor, tibia, scapula, upper sternum with fibers to
ribs to vertebrae to ribs to sternum=one whole unit and the bones are
clean!.So now what do I do?????.I am thinking bleach, what did you do?.

Bye for now
Bruce Wood KMI
