you ask a very good question, what do "we" have to lose? "we" are in the process of figuring out who "we" are right now. there are many groups who consider themselves a part of structural integration. myself, i would consider NMT to be "structural bodywork," as it is missing some of the key elements that create what we consider the "integration" aspect of our work. the danger of passing out our session notes freely is that structural bodyworkers then do the sessions on a body without the context of integration to support the work. the idea is that any one can take a body apart, but it requires special education or superior critical thinking skills together with certain givens to approximate integration in the structural system. it doesnt really have anything to do with paying so much as we have to learn what we've learned. it has more to do with the elitist attitude we carry in general due to our superior knowledge and more modern context, please forgive "us" if you will. and please ask more questions!

ps- good books on the subject of session contact points and movement mcan be found at edmaupin.com. look for "the structural metaphor."
