Hey Red Wolf, lets clarify.
First, you are confusing my writings with Tom's
writings.
Second, those years of observation and practice you
spoke of are still ahead of me. I unashamedly
pronounce myself Ignorant, Inexperienced, and Utterly
confused at a higher level!
Lastly, the terminology I used "3 part basic series"
is meant to describe the beginner series of Tom Myers
training. Tom referred to it as "8-9-10" or
"Girdle-Girdle-Spine". I don't have a strong enough
understanding of this body of thought to articulate
how the 3 part basic fits in or compares to your work.
And lastly, I would like to stress, my 3-part basic is
not the 3-part that Tom does. I have not studied the
full 10 part series and don't know in what context my
training will eventually fit in. For most of you it
is at the end, smoothing out, helping to integrate,
etc... For me it is the beginning. And it seems to
be a good place to start based on my clients reviews.
And so this brings up a question. When an ignoramus
like me comes along and states "I'm doing Structural
Integration", is he right? At what point does it
become structural integration? Is it because it has
Ida's stamp on it? Or is it because we as
practitioners are intelligently tinker with the
structure and allow the body to integrate it?
As a novice, I think I am entitled to a little
good-natured prodding and challenging (thank you sir,
may I have another...), but also an acceptance of my
ignorance. Give me time. I'll catch up soon enough...
Eli
