It is time for me to say good bye once again.
For years now, I have tried to contact the ¡¥leaders¡¦ (hum) of our
professional community at large, in order to discuss important
communication and other issues. I have sworn myself to be absolutely
honest every-time. What that means is that I was not going to take
no for an answer until I had exhausted all communication
possibilities; all except bowing to stupidity, obviously.
The pattern has been the same ever since. This was very new to me.
In all other social contexts, even when challenging an
establishment¡¦s wisdom, at least some contact can be made, some
bright minds emerge, some leadership rises to the challenge. In our
community, I really must realize that I will not see such qualities.
For example, one would think at least one school would actually look
into biomechanics for its student clinic, and at least talk to me
about it. Or one would think that some supposedly progressive
associations such as the IASI would look into idaprolf.org¡¦s
practitioners database project. Eventually, one might think, even if
it was true that my social skills were in question, which can hardly
be argued once one knows me, that a true leader would transcend
apparences and finally look into content. It never really happened
(it almost did with Hellerwork I must admit).
Why did I try to find leadership. Evidently because that is where
decisions can be made, financing organized, and things done. The
crowds don¡¦t provide that. But I have patiently disseminated all my
ideas within the crowd as well, just in case some intelligence,
common sense, and organization abilities, perhaps even financing
might emerge.
It was easy to reach the conclusion that I had tried everything to
communicate with decision makers regarding the subject of
Biomechanics. Once I had contacted Jeff Linn himself, my own school,
then all the main schools, then had written the web site
http://www.biomechanics-structural-integrataion.org
then made sure it was visible, then only time could tell. And time
has spoken: there is no ¡¥leadership¡¦ in our schools, to this day,
worthy of such a qualifier period. There is no vision, no self
respect as human beings. If there was, then such leaders would have
understood the positive cycles of trying to quantify the amount of
change we actually achieve in the human posture, and communicating
it to the rest of mankind. The point is I know I tried everything I
could. This cycle is complete for me. Interestingly, a new one seems
to emerge from the base, as some practitioners seem to be heading in
the direction of Biomechanics, no thanks to our leaders, and no
thanks to Jeff Linn. This birth of a base of practitioners is
exciting. It will revive the concept of my Biomechanics web site. It
may even begin to bring prospect students in who may be more than
our typical artistic craftsmen, and be clinicians as well. No
offense intended, but it is the clinicians who will establish our
profession within the health and scientific establishments.
It was also easy to reach the conclusion that I had tried everything
with the practitioner database project of idaprolf.org. I called
everybody, without success, then I called the ¡¥progressive and
young¡¦ association the IASI, and naturally got to speak to Michael
Vilain for the first time, who did not even listen to what I had to
say, obviously full of preconceived ideas about my person, and
drawing erroneous conclusions about the project. This explain my
recent intervention on this forum. I do not mind, contrarily to
others, when people get personal publicly, relationships can evolve,
and I generally do not mind that people find other people¡¦s comments
about me online. Since I decided to proactively develop an Internet
footprint, and an activist activity; it seems fair enough to not be
liked everywhere. But People have to know that Michael does not know
what he is saying regarding my project, that he never wanted to
know. Although personal contributions have been volunteered, they
would not match the amount needed to get started, so I have refused
them so far, until I can finance the project myself, implement it,
and then create a non-profit legal entity for idaprolf.org and
invite others to join the party. Then it will accept contributions.
Moreover, not even the web ¡¥expert¡¦ of the IASI is intellectually
capable of even being curious about it. The point is that I know,
until I have the financing for the database project, that I have
tried everything for now, and no. And there is not a ¡¥leadership¡¦ to
speak of in our community, capable of grasping the concept, and its
tremendous effects for everybody¡¦s business, including our schools
business quite evidently.
Now things were trickier with this group, and the proposals I
developed for it. There was no leadership to start with. Jim
Pascucci has always been an absent leader, has always demonstrated
his profound reluctance in coming to the forefront of the group
activity. Therefore, while I was writing the book on how this forum
should evolve, I also knew the forum needed leaders, so that my
proposals could be discussed with someone with a brain and who can
make a difference. Nobody wanted me as a leader, and I always wanted
to share the responsibility of change with someone, therefore I
never would have proposed to be the new leader. I had to act and
make sure the forum was going to be administratively and technically
under someone¡¦s control before I could have a shot at submitting my
ideas to someone who can do something about them. So here we are,
now the forum is moderated. Of course in my mind the process was
going to look like this: we move to an identical forum, and then we
discuss changes. Promisses were made in this direction. But before I
can even begin to propose something, one of the 2 owners wants one
thing besides keeping spammers out, as agreed, and that is keeping
Reda (myself) out. He has just recently said:
„« It's been really nice and quiet
„« and the discussions have been interesting
„« and thankfully "Reda-less".
One wonders how discussions can be both ¡¥nice and quiet¡¦ and also
inspiring or in anyway stimulating. This really sounds like a boring
forum I am really glad I am not often around. Notice I am not
compelled to entrust such a forum with my technical contribution
regarding Structural Integration; although I did leave a pearl early
on about the role of the dominant eye in twists of the structure,
for the sharp hunter (or rather on this forum: champagne for the
pigs). But that is another story. What matters here is that I am
actually quoting Michael Vilain, the owner of the group, who just
confirmed to me that indeed there will not be any discussion between
the ownership of this group and myself regarding the propositions
for changes I have been developing for many years regarding this
group. This group has designated its bosses. They are obviously
no ¡¥leaders¡¦ in the sense of what I am looking for, as in people
capable of transcending appearances to look into content. Very
important is the fact that the ownership of this group has lied to
me regarding the changes that the group were going to undertake
(spam management only, yeah right), and have made no amend regarding
these lies. They also perpetuate to everyone the lie that Jim
pascucci is the owner. That is simply not true. Jim is as absent as
he has ever been. Now we have a new team of owners and moderators
who is dishonest. So obviously, there is no way I can bow to their
rules in order for me to hope to someday engage in a discussion.
They know that is what I want if they want it too, they know where
to find me. What is interesting for me, is that as far as I am
concerned, I did everything I possibly could. I cannot do anything
more. And I did not find ¡¥leaders¡¦ worthy of this name.
Bowing to stupidity was always out of the question. And it still is.
Because now I know I have done everything I could with this forum, I
can go in peace, and leave the scum behind. I might drop by once in
a while. No not for fun.
Keep it shining, until it pours again.
